"I merely pick up pebbles from the seashore of knowledge."
~Sir Issac Newton

Aberdeen Chiropractor, Oliver DawsonMy greatest passion is chiropractic, I am fortunate that it is also my job. Being able to help people from all ages lead happier healthier lives through giving chiropractic care is a wonderful privilege.  Because Chiropractic respects and fully utilizes the body's own natural healing processes, the variety and scope of health problems that can be helped is often quite remarkable. Chiropractors specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of joints, muscle and nerves. The nervous system ultimately controls and governs every aspect of our health. Through our understanding of how mechanical dysfunction anywhere in the body and especially the spine will adversely affect the functioning of the nervous system, we are able to detect and treat the structure that may be adversely affecting ones overall health as well as reducing pain.

As Chiropractors we have a wonderfully diverse plethora of techniques we can utilize, thus enabling us to treat a wide spectrum of patients and the many problems that they may present. Since graduating I have undertaken numerous post graduate training courses to ensure I can offer quality chiropractic care to all, from nine days old to ninety years old, from elite athletes to pregnant mothers. The primary techniques I specialize in are Applied Kinesiology (AK) and Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT). AK is unparalleled in its diagnostic capability through the use of skeletal muscle testing, and SOT is a wonderfully powerful technique which uses a variety of low force adjustive techniques to balance the pelvis and cranium, reducing undue pressure on the nervous system maximizing health and eliminating pain. The cranial adjusting used in sot and AK is very low force and patients find it very relaxing as well as tremendously affective in treating conditions such as headaches.

My personal experience with chiropractic started at age twelve when my mother started taking me for regular treatments, I felt inspired that one day I might become a chiropractor. Twelve year later I graduated with a masters degree in chiropractic from AECC (Anglo-European College of Chiropractic).

When not treating patients, I enjoy playing tennis and basketball regularly and snowboarding when I get the chance.
